Join us on Friday, May 3rd at 6:00 pm for an evening of wine, food, and music in the Parliament Room, a hip dining and music venue at Otus Supply in Ferndale (Nine Mile & Woodward). $120/seat all-inclusive — reserve your spot by calling us at (248) 398-0030 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are featuring the wines of Samuel Montgermont, winemaker of Domaine Saint Patrice, one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s finest wines.
When not making great wine, Samuel likes to make music. He leads the French rock band, Les SAM – The Southern Atypical Men. After dinner he will be joined on stage for a jam session with some of Detroit’s most distinguished rockers.
A lawyer by training, Samuel has been in the wine business for years. He first interned at Domaine des Béates, a property owned by Michel Chapoutier near Aix-en-Provence. He worked for a decade at the Château de La Gardine, and then as winemaker and General Manager at Les Grandes Serres before partnering with Guy Jullian and his son Jérôme to produce the esteemed Clos Saint Patrice.
The evening will begin with a cocktail incorporating Domaine Saint Patrice Côtes-du-Rhône. Following will be a multi-course dinner featuring dishes paired with all three wines that the domaine produces from the 2015 vintage: Côtes-du-Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and the monumental Clos Saint Patrice, a Châteauneuf-du-Pape from one of the region’s only monopole vineyards.
