Please join us on Tuesday, November 3, 4:30p – 6:30p at Elie Wine Company in Birmingham for a tasting of select Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes du Rhône with preeminent winemaker Laurence Féraud of Domaine du Pégau and Château Pégau.
The classic, benchmark estate of Domaine du Pégau is run by the talented, no-nonsense Laurence Féraud and her father Paul. The pair have made Pégau one of the most renowned domaines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, consistently lauded by consumers and critics alike. The estate covers 11 parcels spread across the appellation that create highly distinctive, world-class wines truly representative of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
“We have always made powerful wines with elegance and sophistication,” says Laurence. “We look for complexity both in the grapes and their handling, and we achieve this by choosing the correct soils for our varietals and the barriques in which we age them.”
Laurence and Paul recently purchased an estate located just outside the village of Sorgues that consists of 100+ acres of Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages. The wines are bottled under the Château Pégau label and can be some of the most overachieving wines of the region.
