In-store Tasting with Champagne Lallier

Join us on Saturday, October 18th, 12pm to 3pm to sample and discuss the wines of Champagne Lallier. Champagne Lallier specializes in producing exceptional Champagne by sourcing exclusively from vineyards officially classified Grand Cru & Premier Cru. Lallier’s ambassador, Pierre-Jules Peyrat, will be on hand to provide insight on production and tell the Lallier story.

We’ll have Lallier’s wines available for purchase including the cuvée Zéro Dosage. Dosage (doh-SAHJ) is sugar added after disgorgement that’s usually intended to balance out a Champagne and accounts for the final level of sweetness in the wine. Without this sugar, the wine is laid bare and the focus is almost entirely on the quality of the grape harvest. It’s not a wine that’s easily made in the cool northern climate of the Champagne region. Lallier’s Zéro Dosage is a Grand Cru blend of 70% pinot noir from the vineyards of Aÿ and 30% Chardonnay from Avize and Cramant that’s aged for forty-eight months in the cellar and then 3-5 months after disgorgement.

We’ll also have the cuvée Millésime 2005 Grand Cru. A blend of 55% pinot noir from Aÿ and 45% Chardonnay from Cotes des Blancs all harvested in the 2005 vintage, and the 100% Chardonnay cuvée Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru.

We hope to see you there.
