Now Open for Business in Birmingham

It took a few weeks and the help of some very good friends but we’re finally moved in and open for business at our new location on the northeast corner of Woodward and 14 Mile Road in Birmingham. We transferred over 10,000 bottles of wine without one casualty and improved our physiques at the same time (ask us about our new “Four Weeks to Firmer Abs by Lifting Cases of Wine” program).

The new store still has much of the charm of our old Royal Oak shop but we have a little more space to display at least one bottle of every wine in our inventory and organize them in a logical way. You probably already knew we were deep in Bordeaux and Burgundy but now you are going to see just exactly how deep we are. Besides these pillars of French wine, we’ll be doing plenty of exploration into regions like the cool climate Loire River Valley, the sweeping diversity of southern France with its multitude of climate and soil influences, and even lesser known Alpine regions in the east.

But we’re committed to more than merely stocking a broad variety of wine, from inexpensive patio wines to the highest level vin de garde. As always, our service is providing plainspoken and reliable information to help you become a better consumer of wine.

Look for us directly on the northeast corner of Woodward and 14 Mile Road in the same building as Fedex Office. We have entrances in both the front and back of the building and you can access our parking lot from either 14 Mile Road or Woodward.
