The countdown has begun. Elie Wine is relocating in exactly 112 days.
We’ve been going through the stacks, picking out the bottles that we won’t be taking with us, and offering them at deeply discounted prices – some bottles are close to 75% off!
If you’ve ever wondered how a 1995 sweet Chenin Blanc from Montlouis is tasting these days, for instance, or a 1996 Grand Mont Bourgueil from one of the finest vineyards in the appellation during a stellar vintage, now is the time, as these are just a couple of wines that are priced to move.
If you found these bottles at a grocery store you would certainly want to proceed with caution but at Elie we take wine storage seriously. From the moment a wine arrives at our shop we ensure that it’s never exposed to rapid changes in temperature that might damage it. Anyone that’s been through the shop in the past few weeks can tell you, we are most definitely not blasting hot air into the space. Also, the majority of these sale bottles have not seen the light of day since they were originally boxed.
And from this weekend until we move, we’ll be opening many of these bottles as part of our regular “Saturday Sips” tasting series.
Stop in and see what we have. You might just find a gem, if not a box full of them.
