Big Spanish Wine Closeouts & An Update on Our Move

The next time you visit us in Royal Oak you might notice some changes. The old light fixtures have been removed and we’re beginning to dismantle some of the shelving to move over to the new Birmingham location.

But all of the wine remains.

Our last day here is April 30, with the new store opening the following day on May 1. Since we’ve made the announcement a few months ago your response has been overwhelming. Many have expressed sadness about losing such a singular retail wine shop in downtown Royal Oak.

We’re confident that you are going to find the new space just as charming and comfortable as the original, yet updated in a way that is much more conducive for browsing and tasting. And likely one of the most unique wine stores you’ll ever visit.

In the meantime, all of the rearranging and deconstruction has allowed us to bring to light some of the wines that have been tucked away for years developing the tertiary aromas and flavors associated with proper bottle aging.

We’re currently offering most all of our Spanish wines on closeout. We have a diverse selection from distinguished regions like Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Priorat, Montsant,Rueda, and Toro, with vintages starting from the late 90s and spanning over a decade.

You’ll find wines like 2005 Clos Martinet, a rich and intense Priorat, with a spicy bouquet and epic length, produced with the most deliberate attention by oenologist and philosophy scholar Sara Perez.

Stop by this Saturday to sample a few Spanish wines. We still have some Right Bank Bordeaux and various other wines on closeout as well.
