Please join us on Wednesday, September 9 for a three-course dinner paired with Castell d’Encus wines. Oenologist and Raül Bobet’s “right-hand person” at Castell d’Encus, Mireia Taribó, will be joining us to talk about the vineyards and the processes that she and Raül utilize to create their world-class wines, including:
2013 Taleia — Simultaneously rich and crisp Sauvignon Blanc
2012 Ekam — Dry Riesling that stands up to some of the best from Mosel
2011 Thalarn — Rich and meaty cool climate syrah, think Côte-Rôtie
2012 Acusp — Pinot Noir to rival premier cru Burgundy
2012 Quest — Elegant and Muscular “Right-Bank” Bordeaux Blend
The menu will be prepared by Chef Louai Sharkas. Chef Louai worked as executive chef at Birmingham’s Townsend Hotel and Zinc Brasserie in West Bloomfield before heading the kitchen at Birmingham Country Club. His training is classical French with Mediterranean inspiration. Our previous dinner at BCC with Chef Louai was more than a success. It garnered raves from everyone attending.
